Hereโ€™s a delicious Strawberry Banana Pudding recipe โ€” a fruity twist on the Southern classic! ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŒ๐Ÿฎ

๐Ÿ“ Strawberry Banana Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 box (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 2 cups cold milk

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

  • 1ยฝ cups heavy whipping cream (or Cool Whip if you prefer)

  • 1 box (11 oz) vanilla wafers (Nilla Wafers)

  • 3โ€“4 ripe bananas, sliced

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Optional: extra sliced fruit or crushed wafers for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pudding Base:
In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk until smooth and thickened (about 2 minutes).
Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

  2. Make the Whipped Cream (if using):
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold it gently into the pudding mixture.

  3. Layer the Dessert:

    • Start with a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom of a large dish or trifle bowl.

    • Add a layer of banana slices, then a layer of strawberries.

    • Spoon over some pudding mixture to cover.

    • Repeat the layers until the dish is full, finishing with pudding on top.

  4. Chill:
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best!) so the wafers soften and the flavors blend.

  5. Serve:
Top with extra whipped cream, fresh fruit, or crushed wafers before serving.

Tips

  • For a twist, use strawberry pudding mix or banana pudding mix instead of vanilla.

  • You can make this in individual cups or mason jars for a cute presentation.

  • Use firm but ripe bananas so they donโ€™t turn mushy.

Would you like me to give you a no-bake version (using Cool Whip and instant pudding only) or a homemade custard version next?
