๐ Strawberry Banana Pudding
Ingredients
-
1 box (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
-
2 cups cold milk
-
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
-
1ยฝ cups heavy whipping cream (or Cool Whip if you prefer)
-
1 box (11 oz) vanilla wafers (Nilla Wafers)
-
3โ4 ripe bananas, sliced
-
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
Optional: extra sliced fruit or crushed wafers for garnish
Instructions
-
Prepare the Pudding Base:
In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk until smooth and thickened (about 2 minutes).
Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined. -
Make the Whipped Cream (if using):
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold it gently into the pudding mixture. -
Layer the Dessert:
-
Start with a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom of a large dish or trifle bowl.
-
Add a layer of banana slices, then a layer of strawberries.
-
Spoon over some pudding mixture to cover.
-
Repeat the layers until the dish is full, finishing with pudding on top.
-
-
Chill:
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best!) so the wafers soften and the flavors blend. -
Serve:
Top with extra whipped cream, fresh fruit, or crushed wafers before serving.
Tips
-
For a twist, use strawberry pudding mix or banana pudding mix instead of vanilla.
-
You can make this in individual cups or mason jars for a cute presentation.
-
Use firm but ripe bananas so they donโt turn mushy.
Would you like me to give you a no-bake version (using Cool Whip and instant pudding only) or a homemade custard version next?
