Here’s a quick, flavorful Shrimp Pasta 🍤🍝 that’s easy to make and perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 8 oz (225 g) pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne)
  • 1 lb (450 g) shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta
    • Boil pasta in salted water according to package directions. Drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
  2. Cook shrimp
    • In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.
    • Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté 30 seconds.
    • Add shrimp, season with salt & pepper, cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from skillet.
  3. Make sauce
    • Add remaining butter to skillet.
    • Toss in cooked pasta, shrimp, and reserved pasta water to loosen sauce.
    • Stir in Parmesan, lemon juice, and parsley.
  4. Serve
    • Plate immediately. Optional: extra Parmesan or a sprinkle of chili flakes.

Tips & Variations

  • Creamy version: Add ¼ cup heavy cream with the butter for a richer sauce
  • Veggie boost: Toss in spinach, cherry tomatoes, or asparagus
  • Spicy twist: Add more red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce
  • Garlic lovers: Roast extra garlic and toss in for depth

This dish is fast, fresh, and packed with flavor, ready in about 20 minutes.

I can also make a one-pot shrimp pasta version where everything cooks together for even faster prep and less cleanup.

Do you want me to do that?
