Ingredients
Crust
- 1½ cups crushed graham crackers or vanilla wafers
- ⅓ cup melted butter
- 2 tbsp sugar
Cream cheese custard filling
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Make the crust
Mix crumbs, melted butter, and sugar.
Press firmly into a greased 8×8-inch pan.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes, then set aside. - Prepare the custard
Beat cream cheese until smooth.
Add sugar and mix well.
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Slowly mix in milk, vanilla, and salt until smooth (don’t overbeat). - Bake
Pour filling over warm crust.
Bake at 325°F (165°C) for 35–45 minutes, until edges are set and center slightly jiggles. - Cool & chill
Cool completely, then refrigerate at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
