Strawberry brownies

Here’s a fun and fudgy twist on a classic dessert — Strawberry Brownies 🍓
They’re soft, chewy, and packed with bright strawberry flavor.


🍓 Ingredients (Makes 9–12 squares)

For the brownies:

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix (15.25 oz / 432 g)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips (optional but recommended)

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tbsp strawberry puree (or milk)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat & Prepare

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease.

2️⃣ Make the Batter

  • In a bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, and oil until thick and smooth.
  • Fold in white chocolate chips if using.
  • Spread evenly into prepared pan (batter will be thick).

3️⃣ Bake

  • Bake for 18–22 minutes.
  • Edges should be set but center slightly soft (don’t overbake for chewy texture).
  • Cool completely before glazing.

4️⃣ Make the Glaze

  • Whisk powdered sugar, strawberry puree (or milk), and vanilla until smooth.
  • Drizzle over cooled brownies.
  • Let glaze set before slicing.

🍓 From-Scratch Version (No Cake Mix)

If you prefer homemade:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup strawberry puree (reduced slightly for stronger flavor)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

Bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes.


💡 Tips

  • For stronger strawberry flavor, add 1 tbsp strawberry gelatin powder.
  • Add chopped fresh strawberries on top before serving.
  • For a prettier finish, drizzle melted white chocolate over the glaze.
  • Store in an airtight container up to 3 days.
