Homemade Stove-Top Style Stuffing 🍞🧅
This recipe recreates the classic boxed stuffing flavor similar to Stove Top stuffing, but made fresh at home.
Ingredients
- 4 cups dry bread cubes
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Sauté vegetables
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and celery and cook for 4–5 minutes until soft. - Add broth and seasoning
Pour in the chicken broth, poultry seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle boil. - Add bread cubes
Stir in the dry bread cubes until they absorb the broth. - Cover and rest
Turn off heat, cover the pot, and let it sit 5 minutes so the bread softens and flavors blend. - Fluff and serve
Fluff with a fork and serve warm.
