A fast, high-heat dish that combines juicy beef with tender shrimp and crisp vegetables β ready in about 20 minutes.
π Ingredients (Serves 3β4)
Protein
- 1 lb (450g) flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- Β½ lb (225g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined
Vegetables (mix & match)
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup snap peas or snow peas
- 3 green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
Sauce
- ΒΌ cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp brown sugar (optional)
- Β½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)
π₯ How to Cook
- Prep everything first. Stir frying moves fast.
- Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat with 1 tbsp oil.
- Cook steak in a single layer (1β2 minutes per side). Remove.
- Add a little more oil if needed. Cook shrimp 1β2 minutes per side until pink. Remove.
- Stir fry vegetables 2β3 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Add garlic & ginger (30 seconds).
- Return steak and shrimp to the pan.
- Pour in sauce. Add cornstarch slurry and toss until glossy and slightly thickened (about 1 minute).
