Protein

  • 1 lb (450g) flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
  • Β½ lb (225g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined

Vegetables (mix & match)

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas or snow peas
  • 3 green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Sauce

  • ΒΌ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (optional)
  • Β½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)

  1. Prep everything first. Stir frying moves fast.
  2. Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat with 1 tbsp oil.
  3. Cook steak in a single layer (1–2 minutes per side). Remove.
  4. Add a little more oil if needed. Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove.
  5. Stir fry vegetables 2–3 minutes until crisp-tender.
  6. Add garlic & ginger (30 seconds).
  7. Return steak and shrimp to the pan.
  8. Pour in sauce. Add cornstarch slurry and toss until glossy and slightly thickened (about 1 minute).

  • Steamed jasmine rice
  • Fried rice
  • Lo mein noodles
  • Cauliflower rice (lower carb option)
