Steak and cheese garlic toast

Here’s a simple, super tasty Steak & Cheese Garlic Toast you can make at home 😋

Ingredients

  • Bread (Texas toast, baguette, or thick white bread works best)
  • Steak (sirloin, ribeye, or any thin-cut beef)
  • Cheese (provolone, mozzarella, cheddar, or a mix)
  • Butter
  • Garlic (fresh minced or garlic powder)
  • Salt & pepper
  • Optional: onions, mushrooms, mayo, parsley

Instructions

  1. Make the garlic toast
    • Mix softened butter with garlic (and a pinch of salt).
    • Spread on one side of the bread.
    • Toast in a pan, oven, or air fryer until golden and crispy.
  2. Cook the steak
    • Season steak with salt and pepper.
    • Cook in a hot pan with a little oil, 2–3 minutes per side (or until done how you like).
    • Let it rest briefly, then slice thin.
  3. Assemble
    • Place steak slices on the toasted side of the bread.
    • Add cheese on top.
    • Optional: add sautéed onions or mushrooms.
  4. Melt the cheese
    • Put under the broiler or back in the oven for 1–2 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  5. Finish
    • Sprinkle parsley or add a light spread of mayo if you like.
    • Cut and enjoy!
