  • 1 lb (450 g) ground turkey
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce or ketchup (for topping)

Method

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a loaf pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. Prepare the Mixture

  • In a large bowl, combine:
    • Ground turkey
    • Chopped spinach
    • Onion, garlic
    • Breadcrumbs
    • Milk
    • Egg
    • Salt, pepper, and herbs
  • Mix gently with your hands or a spoon until just combined (don’t overmix—meatloaf stays tender).

3. Shape and Top

  • Transfer the mixture to the loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
  • Spread tomato sauce or ketchup evenly on top.

4. Bake

  • Bake for 45–55 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing.

5. Serve

  • Slice and serve with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or a salad.

  • For extra flavor, sauté onions and garlic before mixing them into the meat.
