Here’s an easy smoked sausage and corn slow cooker recipe 🌽πŸ₯˜. It’s simple, filling, and great for busy days.

Ingredients

  • 1–2 lbs smoked sausage (sliced into rounds)
  • 3–4 cups corn (frozen, canned, or fresh)
  • 3–4 potatoes (cubed, optional but recommended)
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Β½ tsp black pepper
  • Β½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • Optional: Β½ tsp Cajun seasoning or red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Add ingredients: Put the sliced sausage, corn, potatoes, onion, and garlic into the slow cooker.
  2. Season: Sprinkle paprika, pepper, salt, and any optional spices on top.
  3. Add liquid: Pour in the chicken broth and place butter on top.
  4. Cook:
    • Low: 6–7 hours
    • High: 3–4 hours
  5. Stir and serve: Mix everything well before serving.

Optional Add-Ins

  • Bell peppers for extra flavor
  • Cream cheese or heavy cream at the end for a creamy version
  • Shrimp added in the last 20 minutes for a Cajun-style dish 🦐
