Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Here’s a comforting, slow cooker Salisbury steak recipe—tender beef patties in a rich mushroom gravy 🍽️


🥩 Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Ingredients (serves 4)

For the patties:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the gravy:

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the patties
    • In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
    • Form into 4–6 oval-shaped patties.
  2. Prepare the gravy
    • In a separate bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir in mushrooms if using.
  3. Assemble in slow cooker
    • Place patties in the slow cooker and pour gravy over them.
  4. Cook
    • Cover and cook:
      • LOW: 6–7 hours
      • HIGH: 3–4 hours
  5. Serve
    • Serve the Salisbury steaks with gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.

💡 Tips

  • For thicker gravy, mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with 2 tbsp water and stir in 30 minutes before serving.
  • Optional: sprinkle fresh parsley on top for color and flavor.
  • You can make the patties ahead and freeze for a convenient meal later.
