Slow cooker amish honey glazed carrots

Here’s a simple and classic Slow Cooker Amish Honey-Glazed Carrots recipe:


Ingredients:

  • Carrots – 1½ pounds, peeled and cut into sticks or rounds
  • Butter – 3 tablespoons
  • Honey – 3 tablespoons
  • Brown sugar – 2 tablespoons (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • Salt – ½ teaspoon
  • Black pepper – a pinch
  • Water – 2–3 tablespoons (to help steam in slow cooker)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the carrots: Peel and cut the carrots into uniform sticks or rounds.
  2. Place in slow cooker: Put carrots in the slow cooker. Add butter, honey, brown sugar (if using), salt, and pepper.
  3. Add a little water: Pour 2–3 tablespoons of water over the carrots to help them steam.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours or until carrots are tender.
  5. Optional glaze finish: About 30 minutes before serving, stir carrots and let them cook uncovered to thicken the glaze slightly.

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon or a splash of orange juice.
  • You can also sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving for a pop of color.
