1. Ingredients

  • 3–4 lb beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet (1 oz) French onion soup mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup (optional for creamier version)
  • 1 cup beef broth

Optional: carrots, potatoes, and onions for a complete meal.


2. Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Slow Cooker

  • Lightly grease the slow cooker or use a liner for easy cleanup.

Step 2: Layer Ingredients

  1. Place the beef roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly over the roast.
  3. Pour beef broth (and cream of mushroom soup, if using) over the top.
  4. Add vegetables around the roast if desired.

Step 3: Cook

  • Cover and cook:
    • Low for 8 hours
