sausage and cheese biscuit breakfast sandwich

Posted on December 8, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a simple and delicious sausage and cheese biscuit breakfast sandwich recipe you can make at home.

Ingredients (makes 2 sandwiches)

  • 2 large biscuits (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 breakfast sausage patties
  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your favorite)
  • 2 eggs (optional, for extra protein)
  • Butter or cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Cook the sausage:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage patties until browned and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side. Remove and keep warm.
  2. Cook the eggs (optional):
In the same skillet, cook eggs to your liking (fried, scrambled, or over-easy). Season with a little salt and pepper.
  3. Prepare the biscuits:
If using store-bought biscuits, bake according to package instructions. If using leftover biscuits, warm them in the oven or microwave.
  4. Assemble the sandwich:
    • Slice each biscuit in half.
    • Place a sausage patty on the bottom half.
    • Add a slice of cheese on top of the sausage (the heat will melt it slightly).
    • Add the egg if using.
    • Top with the biscuit half.
  5. Serve:
Enjoy warm with a side of fruit, hash browns, or your favorite breakfast beverage.

💡 Tips:

  • You can make these ahead of time and wrap them individually for a quick grab-and-go breakfast.
  • Swap the sausage for bacon, ham, or a veggie patty if you prefer.
  • For extra flavor, spread a little butter or hot sauce on the biscuit before adding the filling.

If you want, I can give you a shortcut version that makes 4 sandwiches in one skillet in under 20 minutes—perfect for busy mornings. Do you want me to do that?
