Here’s a simple, teen-friendly recipe that works well with Red Delicious apples, which are best eaten fresh rather than cooked.

🍎 Red Delicious Apple & Honey Yogurt Snack

Why this works: Red Delicious apples are mildly sweet and crisp, perfect for no-cook recipes.

Ingredients

  • 1–2 Red Delicious apples
  • ½ cup plain or vanilla yogurt
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey (or maple syrup)
  • A pinch of cinnamon (optional)
  • Optional toppings: granola, chopped nuts, or raisins

Instructions

  1. Wash the apples and slice them thin (you can leave the skin on).
  2. Spoon the yogurt into a bowl.
  3. Drizzle honey over the yogurt and mix gently.
  4. Add apple slices on top.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and any optional toppings.
  6. Enjoy immediately!

Variations

  • No yogurt? Use peanut butter or sunflower seed butter for dipping.
  • On the go: Pack apple slices separately and dip when ready.
  • Extra fresh: Add a few drops of lemon juice to keep apples from browning.
