Recipe for Cream Cheese Pie or Chocolate Lava Cake

Posted on March 7, 2026 by Admin

Here are two indulgent options for dessert — one creamy and one molten — so you can pick based on your mood:

Option 1: Cream Cheese Pie

Ingredients:

  • Cream cheese – 8 oz (1 block), softened
  • Sweetened condensed milk – 1 can (14 oz)
  • Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
  • Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
  • Graham cracker crust – 1 pre-made (9-inch)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Gradually add sweetened condensed milk, then lemon juice and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy.
  4. Pour the filling into the graham cracker crust.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are slightly set (the center will jiggle slightly).
  6. Cool to room temperature, then chill in the fridge for 2 hours before serving.

Optional: Top with fruit, chocolate shavings, or caramel drizzle.

Option 2: Chocolate Lava Cake

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • Semi-sweet chocolate – 4 oz (chopped)
  • Butter – ½ cup (1 stick)
  • Eggs – 2 whole + 2 yolks
  • Sugar – ¼ cup
  • Flour – 2 tbsp
  • Optional: powdered sugar or ice cream for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease 4 ramekins and lightly dust with flour.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter together in a microwave or double boiler; stir until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until combined.
  4. Fold the chocolate mixture into the eggs, then gently fold in flour.
  5. Divide batter evenly among ramekins.
  6. Bake for 12–14 minutes — edges should be set, centers soft.
  7. Let sit 1 minute, then invert onto plates. Serve immediately, optionally with ice cream or berries.

If you want, I can give a hybrid version: Chocolate Cream Cheese Lava Pie — basically a molten chocolate cake with a creamy cheesecake center. It’s decadent and surprisingly easy! Do you want that recipe?
