Instructions

  1. Prep the roast:
    • Rub the roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme.
    • Optional: Sear in a hot skillet with olive oil for 3–4 minutes per side for extra flavor.
  2. Add to slow cooker:
    • Place onions, carrots, and potatoes in the bottom.
    • Add the roast on top.
    • Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over everything.
  3. Cook:
    • Cover and cook low for 8 hours or high for 4–5 hours, until the meat is tender and easily shredded.
  4. Optional gravy:
    • Remove meat and vegetables.
