Here’s a simple, classic pork recipe that’s juicy, flavorful, and easy to make—perfect for weeknights or Sunday dinner 🍖


Skillet Garlic Butter Pork Chops

Ingredients (4 servings)

  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless, ¾–1 inch thick)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary
  • Optional: splash of chicken broth or lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Season pork
    • Pat pork chops dry.
    • Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Sear
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook pork chops 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
    • Remove and set aside.
  3. Make garlic butter
    • Reduce heat to medium.
    • Add butter and garlic to the skillet; cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
    • Stir in herbs and optional broth or lemon juice.
  4. Finish cooking
    • Return pork chops to skillet.
    • Spoon garlic butter over chops.
    • Cook 2–4 more minutes until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  5. Rest & serve
    • Rest pork chops 5 minutes before serving.

Serving Ideas

  • Mashed potatoes or rice
  • Green beans, carrots, or corn
  • Applesauce or sautéed apples

Variations

  • Smothered pork chops: Add onions and gravy.
  • Oven-baked: Finish in a 375°F oven for 10–12 minutes.
  • Creamy version: Stir in ¼ cup cream at the end.
