Pork Chops in a Slow Cooker

Here’s a simple and flavorful way to make pork chops in a slow cooker—tender, juicy, and full of flavor:


Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless, about 1-inch thick)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken soup)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary (optional)
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil (for browning, optional)

Instructions

  1. Optional Browning
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Brown pork chops 2–3 minutes per side for extra flavor.
  2. Layer in Slow Cooker
    • Place sliced onions and garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
    • Put the pork chops on top.
  3. Mix Sauce
    • In a bowl, combine chicken broth, cream of mushroom soup, paprika, pepper, salt, and thyme.
    • Pour over the pork chops.
  4. Cook
    • Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
    • Pork should be tender and fully cooked (internal temp ~145°F / 63°C).
  5. Serve
    • Spoon sauce and onions over the pork chops.
    • Perfect with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted veggies.

💡 Tip: For extra flavor, sprinkle fresh parsley over the chops just before serving. The sauce can also be thickened by removing the lid in the last 30 minutes or stirring in a cornstarch slurry.
