Here’s a tasty Pasta & Chow Mein–Style Noodles recipe—a fun fusion dish that combines the chewiness of pasta with classic chow mein flavors 🍜🍝


🍝🍜 Pasta Chow Mein Fusion

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine (works great as a noodle substitute)
  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or sesame)
  • 1 lb chicken, shrimp, beef, or tofu (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional but recommended)
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix
  • 1/2 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 green onions, sliced

Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar or honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta
    Cook pasta in salted water until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook protein
    Heat oil in a large skillet or wok. Cook protein until done; remove and set aside.
  3. Stir-fry veggies
    In the same pan, add garlic and ginger; cook 30 seconds.
    Add cabbage, carrots, and bell pepper. Stir-fry 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Combine everything
    Add cooked pasta, protein, and sauce ingredients to the pan.
    Toss well and cook 2–3 minutes until everything is coated and heated through.
  5. Finish & serve
    Stir in green onions and serve hot.

💡 Tips & Variations

  • Add chili garlic sauce or sriracha for heat 🌶️
  • Use whole wheat pasta for more fiber
  • Swap soy sauce for low-sodium if preferred
  • Add a scrambled egg for authentic chow mein vibes
