Here’s a simple and delicious Orange Cake recipe that’s moist, citrusy, and perfect for any occasion:

Ingredients

For the cake:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup fresh orange juice (about 2 oranges)
  • Zest of 1–2 oranges
  • ½ cup milk (or yogurt for extra moisture)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the glaze (optional):

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp fresh orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven:
    • Preheat to 350°F (175°C).
    • Grease and flour an 8- or 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients:
    • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Mix wet ingredients:
    • In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
    • Add eggs one at a time, then mix in orange juice, orange zest, milk, and vanilla.
  4. Combine:
    • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until smooth.
  5. Bake:
    • Pour batter into the prepared pan.
    • Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Glaze (optional):
    • While the cake is warm, mix powdered sugar with orange juice and drizzle over the cake.
  7. Cool and serve:
    • Let the cake cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.

💡 Tips:

  • For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of orange liqueur to the batter.
  • You can also fold in some orange segments or chocolate chips for a twist.

If you want, I can also give you a super moist, one-bowl orange cake that’s even faster to make. Do you want that version?
