Here’s a solid One-Pot Zesty Steak Pasta recipe — plus some variations and tips:

One-Pot Zesty Steak Pasta Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (≈ 450 g) steak (sirloin, flank, or similar), thinly sliced (Recipes Lady)
  • 8 oz (≈ 225 g) pasta (penne, fusilli, or your choice) (Ella Dishes)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (Epic Dishes)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (Cooked By Lina)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (Tasty with Lara)
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped (optional, but gives good texture) (Cookrisp)
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes with juice (Cookrisp)
  • 2 cups beef broth (Cookrisp)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or dried oregano) (Ella Dishes)
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat) (Tasty with Lara)
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste) (Cooked By Lina)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (Epic Dishes)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) (Tasty with Lara)

Instructions

  1. Sear the Steak
    • Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. (Epic Dishes)
    • Season the sliced steak with salt and pepper (and red pepper flakes if using). (Tasty with Lara)
    • Sear for 2–4 minutes until browned but not fully cooked through. Remove steak and set aside. (Recipes Lady)
  2. Sauté Vegetables
    • In the same pot, add onion and bell pepper; sauté until soft (about 3–4 minutes). (Cookrisp)
    • Add garlic and cook another minute until fragrant. (Tasty with Lara)
  3. Add Liquids + Pasta
    • Pour in the diced tomatoes (with juice) and beef broth. (Epic Dishes)
    • Stir in the pasta, Italian seasoning, and more salt/pepper as needed. (Tasty with Lara)
    • Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente and has absorbed most of the liquid. (Umami)
  4. Finish
    • Return the steak to the pot and stir to combine. (Cooked By Lina)
    • Stir in the grated Parmesan until it melts and the sauce becomes creamy. (FULL RECIPE)
    • Taste and adjust seasoning (salt, pepper, red pepper flakes) as needed. (Cooked By Lina)
  5. Garnish & Serve
    • Sprinkle fresh parsley (or basil) on top before serving. (Tasty with Lara)
    • Serve hot, straight from the pot.

Variations & Tips

  • Creamy Version: Use heavy cream instead of (or in addition to) broth for a richer sauce. (Epic Dishes)
  • Extra Veggies: Add mushrooms, zucchini, spinach, or sun-dried tomatoes. (Cooked By Lina)
  • Spice Level: Adjust red pepper flakes to make it more or less spicy.
  • Cheese Variations: Swap or mix Parmesan with mozzarella or Pecorino.
  • Other Meat Options: Use leftover steak, grilled beef, or even chicken breast instead.
