Here’s a simple guide to making No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies—rich, chewy, and ready in about 20 minutes.


1. Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (optional for extra flavor)
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

2. Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Pan

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.

Step 2: Make the Chocolate Mixture

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Stir in sugar, milk, and cocoa powder.
  3. Bring to a rolling boil for 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Step 3: Add Peanut Butter and Vanilla

  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in peanut butter (if using) and vanilla extract until smooth.

Step 4: Mix in Oats

  • Add oats and a pinch of salt.
  • Stir until all oats are coated with chocolate mixture.

Step 5: Form Cookies

  • Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Flatten slightly with the back of the spoon if desired.

Step 6: Let Them Set

  • Let cookies cool at room temperature for 20–30 minutes or refrigerate for faster setting.

3. Tips & Variations

  • Nutty twist: add chopped nuts or shredded coconut to the mixture.
  • Healthier version: use honey or maple syrup instead of sugar and rolled oats instead of quick oats.
  • Extra chocolatey: drizzle melted white or dark chocolate on top once set.

These cookies are easy, no oven required, and perfect for last-minute desserts or after-school treats.
