No-bake chocolate oat bars

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars — chewy, chocolatey, and perfect as a snack or dessert:


Ingredients (Makes ~12 bars)

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

  • 1 cup peanut butter (or any nut butter)

  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: ½ cup mini chocolate chips or chopped nuts


Instructions

  1. Prepare pan: Line an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. Combine wet ingredients: In a medium saucepan, combine peanut butter and honey over low heat. Stir until smooth and slightly warm. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract.

  3. Add dry ingredients: Stir in oats, cocoa powder, salt, and optional chocolate chips or nuts until fully combined.

  4. Press mixture into pan: Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan and press it down firmly with a spatula or your hands.

  5. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours, or until firm.

  6. Cut into bars: Lift the set mixture out using the parchment paper and cut into bars. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.


Tips

  • For a sweeter bar, add ¼ cup of brown sugar or extra chocolate chips.

  • You can replace peanut butter with almond butter, cashew butter, or sunflower seed butter.

  • To make them extra fudgy, add 2 tablespoons of melted coconut oil with the peanut butter and honey.
