million dollar cream cheese cake

Posted on November 4, 2025 by Admin
Ah, the “Million Dollar Cream Cheese Cake”! That name usually refers to a rich, decadent cake made with a creamy cream cheese base, often layered or swirled with chocolate or fruit, with a buttery crust, and topped with a luscious cream cheese frosting. It’s called “million dollar” because it’s indulgent and feels ultra-luxurious—definitely a showstopper dessert.

Here’s a classic way it’s made:

Ingredients:

  • Crust:

    • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs

    • 3 tbsp sugar

    • 4 tbsp melted butter

  • Filling:

    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

    • 1 cup sugar

    • 1/2 cup sour cream

    • 2 eggs

    • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Optional topping:

    • Chocolate ganache, caramel drizzle, or fruit

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: 350°F (175°C).

  2. Make crust: Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a greased 9-inch springform pan. Bake 5–7 minutes, then cool.

  3. Make filling: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, then eggs one at a time. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Pour over cooled crust.

  4. Bake: 350°F (175°C) for 30–40 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center.

  5. Cool & chill: Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate at least 2 hours (or overnight) before serving.

  6. Optional topping: Add chocolate drizzle, fruit, or whipped cream.

The result is a rich, creamy, slightly tangy dessert that tastes much fancier than it looks!

If you want, I can give you a super deluxe version with a chocolate swirl and caramel topping that really lives up to the “million dollar” name. Do you want me to do that?
