Ham in a Crock-Pot

Here’s an easy, tender Crock-Pot Ham—perfect for holidays or a no-stress family meal 🍖✨


Crock-Pot Ham

Ingredients

  • 1 fully cooked bone-in or boneless ham (6–8 lb fits most slow cookers)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ½ cup pineapple juice or apple juice
  • 2 tbsp Dijon or yellow mustard
  • Optional: pineapple slices, maraschino cherries, cloves

Instructions

  1. Prep the ham
    • If needed, trim ham to fit slow cooker.
    • Place ham flat-side down in the Crock-Pot.
  2. Make glaze
    • In a bowl, mix brown sugar, honey (or maple syrup), juice, and mustard.
  3. Glaze
    • Pour glaze over ham.
    • Add pineapple slices/cherries if using.
  4. Cook
    • Cover and cook on LOW 4–5 hours (preferred) or HIGH 2–3 hours.
    • Baste once or twice if possible.
  5. Serve
    • Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
    • Spoon extra glaze over slices.

Tips & Variations

  • Spiral ham: Keep slices together by wrapping loosely in foil before placing in cooker.
  • Cinnamon-clove flavor: Add ½ tsp cinnamon and a pinch of ground cloves.
  • Brown sugar only: Skip honey and juice—ham will still be moist.
  • Crispy edges: Broil slices with glaze for 2–3 minutes after cooking.

Storage

  • Refrigerate leftovers up to 4 days.
  • Great for sandwiches, omelets, soups, or casseroles.
