Ham and Swiss Sliders

Posted on February 4, 2026 by Admin

Ah yes—Ham and Swiss Sliders! 🧀🥪 Perfect for parties, game day, or an easy weeknight treat. Soft, buttery rolls, melty Swiss, savory ham, and a touch of tangy mustard—pure comfort in miniature. Here’s a full recipe:

Ham and Swiss Sliders

Ingredients (makes 12 sliders)

  • 12 small slider rolls or dinner rolls (Hawaiian rolls work beautifully)
  • 12 slices deli ham (or more if you like them meaty)
  • 6–8 slices Swiss cheese (cut in half to fit rolls)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon or yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds (optional, for classic flavor)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prep the Rolls:
Slice rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected if possible for easy assembly. Place bottom halves in a baking dish.
  3. Layer Ham and Cheese:
Layer ham slices evenly over the bottom rolls. Top with Swiss cheese. Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese.
  4. Make Butter Topping:
In a small bowl, combine melted butter, mustard, poppy seeds, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Brush & Bake:
Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls. Cover loosely with foil and bake 15 minutes.
  6. Melt & Finish:
Remove foil and bake an additional 5–7 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  7. Serve:
Let cool slightly, then pull apart sliders and serve warm.

Pro Tips

  • Hawaiian rolls give a slightly sweet balance to savory ham and Swiss.
  • For extra flavor, add a thin layer of Dijon mustard or honey mustard inside the rolls before layering ham.
  • Can be made ahead: assemble, cover, and refrigerate; bake just before serving.

If you want, I can also give a gourmet upgrade with caramelized onions, pickles, and a cheddar-Swiss combo that makes these sliders next-level delicious.

Do you want me to do that?
