Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed, ~8 oz) or crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz deli ham, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or mozzarella), sliced or shredded
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, or sesame seeds

Instructions

1. Preheat oven

  • Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Assemble the pinwheels

  1. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
  2. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard if using.
  3. Layer ham evenly over the pastry.
  4. Layer cheese on top.
  5. Starting with a long edge, carefully roll the pastry into a tight log.
  6. Slice into 1/2–3/4-inch rounds and place on the baking sheet, cut side up.

3. Brush and bake
