Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Ham and Cheese Biscuits—perfect for breakfast, snacks, or brunch:

Ingredients (Makes 8–10 biscuits)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced cooked ham
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk (or regular milk with 1 tsp lemon juice)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    • Preheat to 425°F (220°C).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients
    • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cut in Butter
    • Add cold butter cubes and cut in using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add Cheese and Ham
    • Stir in shredded cheese and diced ham.
  5. Add Milk
    • Pour in buttermilk gradually and mix until a soft dough forms.
    • Do not overmix—dough should be slightly sticky.
  6. Shape Biscuits
    • Turn dough onto a floured surface and gently pat into a 1-inch thick rectangle.
    • Cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter or glass.
  7. Bake
    • Place biscuits on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Bake 12–15 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. Serve
    • Serve warm on their own or with a little extra butter.

💡 Tips

  • Add herbs: A pinch of thyme, chives, or parsley enhances flavor.
  • Cheese variation: Use Swiss, mozzarella, or pepper jack for different tastes.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2 days or freeze for longer storage.

If you want, I can also give a quick 1-bowl version of ham and cheese biscuits that takes under 20 minutes from start to finish.

Do you want that version?
