Here’s a simple, super-flavorful garlic mushrooms recipe—great as a side dish, topping, or snack 🍄🧄
Garlic Mushrooms
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) mushrooms (button or cremini), cleaned and sliced
- 2–3 tbsp butter or olive oil
- 3–4 garlic cloves, finely minced
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Optional: fresh parsley or thyme, chopped
- Optional: squeeze of lemon juice
Instructions
- Heat the pan
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter or oil. - Cook mushrooms
Add mushrooms in a single layer. Let them cook without stirring for 2–3 minutes so they brown. - Stir & season
Stir, then continue cooking another 3–4 minutes until golden and tender. Season with salt and pepper. - Add garlic
Lower heat to medium. Add garlic and cook 30–60 seconds, just until fragrant (don’t let it burn). - Finish
Add herbs and a small squeeze of lemon if using. Toss and remove from heat.
Tips
- Don’t overcrowd the pan—this keeps them from steaming
- Add garlic near the end so it stays sweet, not bitter
- For extra richness, finish with a small knob of butter
