Garlic honey

Posted on February 11, 2026 by Admin

Garlic + honey is a popular traditional remedy often taken as 1–2 teaspoons (not tablespoons) in the morning for general health support. While it’s not a miracle cure, it may offer some benefits.

🧄🍯 Garlic Honey – Potential Benefits

1️⃣ Supports Immunity

  • Garlic contains allicin, known for antibacterial and antiviral properties.
  • Honey has natural antimicrobial effects.
  • Together, they may help during cold and flu season.

2️⃣ May Help with Cough & Sore Throat

  • Honey soothes the throat.
  • Garlic may help fight infection.

3️⃣ Heart Health Support

  • Garlic may help lower blood pressure and cholesterol (mild effect).
  • Raw honey contains antioxidants.

4️⃣ Anti-Inflammatory Properties

  • Both ingredients contain compounds that may reduce inflammation.

5️⃣ Digestive Support

  • Garlic can stimulate digestion.
  • Honey may help support good gut bacteria.

🥣 How to Make Garlic Honey

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raw honey
  • 8–10 cloves fresh garlic, peeled and lightly crushed

Instructions:

  1. Place crushed garlic in a clean jar.
  2. Pour honey over it until fully covered.
  3. Seal and let sit for 3–5 days (or up to a week) at room temperature.
  4. Store at room temp or in the fridge.

🕒 How to Take It

  • 1 teaspoon in the morning on an empty stomach.
  • Can also take when feeling a cold coming on.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Not recommended in large amounts.
  • Avoid if you have low blood pressure, bleeding disorders, or are on blood thinners (garlic can thin blood).
  • Not for children under 1 year (honey risk).
  • It supports health but does not replace medical treatment.

If you’d like, I can also share a stronger fermented garlic honey version that lasts months and boosts potency naturally.
