Here’s a simple and delicious Garlic and Butter Flatbread recipe β€” soft, buttery, and packed with garlic flavor. πŸ₯–πŸ§„


πŸ₯– Ingredients (makes 4–6 flatbreads)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2/3 cup warm water

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter (for the dough)

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted (for brushing)

  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

  • Optional: chopped parsley or oregano for garnish


🍳 Instructions

  1. Make the dough:

    • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

    • Stir in warm water and 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter until a soft dough forms.

    • Knead lightly for 2–3 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.

  2. Shape the flatbreads:

    • Divide dough into 4–6 equal portions.

    • Roll each portion into a thin oval or circle on a lightly floured surface.

  3. Cook the flatbreads:

    • Heat a nonstick skillet or cast-iron pan over medium heat.

    • Cook each flatbread for 2–3 minutes on each side, until golden brown spots appear.

  4. Make garlic butter:

    • Mix melted butter with minced garlic (and herbs if using).

    • Brush generously over warm flatbreads immediately after cooking.

  5. Serve:

    • Serve warm as a side, with dips, or as a base for sandwiches/pizza.

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle some Parmesan or chili flakes on top.

  • You can add a teaspoon of garlic powder directly into the dough for more garlicky goodness.

  • These flatbreads are best served fresh but can be reheated in a skillet or oven.
