Easy Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1 or more sweet potatoes (medium size works best)

Instructions

  1. Wash and prep
    • Rinse sweet potatoes thoroughly.
    • Pat dry and poke 6–8 holes all over with a fork (this prevents them from exploding).
  2. Microwave cooking
    • Place the sweet potato on a microwave-safe plate.
    • Microwave on high:
      • Small/medium potato: 5–6 minutes
      • Large potato: 7–10 minutes
    • Halfway through, flip the potato over for even cooking.
  3. Check for doneness
    • Insert a fork or knife—sweet potato should be soft inside.

    • Slice open and add butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, or a drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of salt.
    • Mash slightly if you want a creamy texture.
