Here’s a super easy recipe for sliced baked potatoes — tender on the inside, lightly crisp on the edges, and perfect as a side dish 🥔✨


Easy Sliced Baked Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp paprika or dried herbs (optional: rosemary, thyme, or parsley)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • Preheat to 400°F (200°C).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.
  2. Slice potatoes
    • Wash and scrub potatoes.
    • Slice into 1/4–1/2 inch thick rounds.
    • Pat dry with a paper towel.
  3. Season
    • In a bowl, toss potato slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings.
  4. Arrange for baking
    • Place slices in a single layer on the baking sheet (overlapping slightly is fine, but don’t overcrowd).
  5. Bake
    • Bake for 25–35 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and tender.
  6. Serve
    • Sprinkle with fresh herbs or a little extra salt if desired.
    • Serve hot as a side for meats, vegetables, or just on their own with a dipping sauce.

Tips

  • For extra crispiness, soak sliced potatoes in cold water for 10–15 minutes before seasoning to remove excess starch.
  • Add grated Parmesan before baking for a cheesy crust.
  • Can be made ahead and reheated in the oven or air fryer.
