Easy Cinnamon Rolls

Posted on March 10, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Easy Cinnamon Rolls that doesn’t require a ton of time or complicated ingredients. These are soft, fluffy, and perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F / 43°C)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

For the filling:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 ½ tbsp ground cinnamon

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough:
    • In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
    • Add sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, and 2 cups of flour. Mix until combined.
    • Gradually add the remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
    • Knead for 5–7 minutes on a floured surface until smooth.
    • Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  2. Prepare the filling:
    • Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Set aside.
    • Roll out the dough into a rectangle (about 16×12 inches).
    • Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar evenly on top.
  3. Roll and cut:
    • Roll the dough tightly from the long side to form a log.
    • Cut into 12 equal pieces and place in a greased 9×13-inch pan.
  4. Second rise:
    • Cover the pan with a clean towel and let the rolls rise for 20–30 minutes.
  5. Bake:
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Bake rolls for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Glaze:
    • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
    • Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

✅ Tip: For extra gooey rolls, brush a little melted butter on the baked rolls before adding glaze.

If you want, I can also give a 5-minute version using store-bought dough that’s almost as good but even faster. Do you want me to share that?
