Cucumber-tomato salad

A cucumber–tomato salad is fresh, light, and perfect with almost any meal—especially spicy dishes. Here’s a simple, tasty version:


🥒🍅 Ingredients

  • 2 cucumbers (sliced)
  • 2–3 tomatoes (chopped)
  • ½ red onion (thinly sliced, optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander (chopped)
  • 1–2 green chilies (finely chopped, optional)

Dressing:

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil (optional)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper

🥗 Instructions

  1. Prep the veggies
    Slice cucumbers, chop tomatoes, and thinly slice onions.
  2. Mix everything
    Add all vegetables to a bowl along with coriander and green chilies.
  3. Make dressing
    In a small bowl, mix lemon juice, salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  4. Toss and serve
    Pour dressing over the salad and mix gently. Serve immediately for best freshness.

🌟 Tips

  • Chill it for 10–15 minutes for extra freshness
  • Add a pinch of chaat masala for a desi twist
  • A little vinegar can replace lemon if needed
  • Don’t add salt too early—it can make the salad watery
