Crockpot steak bites are super easy and come out tender and flavorful—perfect if you want a hands-off meal. Here’s a reliable, tasty version 👌
Crockpot Steak Bites
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs beef sirloin or stew meat, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp butter, cut into pieces
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
- Optional: sliced mushrooms or onions
Instructions:
- Prep the crockpot: Place steak bites in the slow cooker.
- Add flavor: Sprinkle onion soup mix and gravy mix over the meat. Add garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and broth. Stir gently to coat.
- Top with butter: Scatter butter pieces on top.
- Cook:
- Low: 6–8 hours (most tender)
- High: 3–4 hours
- Serve: Stir before serving. Great over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
💡 Tips:
- Sirloin stays tender; chuck works too but needs the full low cook time.
- Want thicker sauce? Remove lid for the last 30 minutes or add a cornstarch slurry (1 tbsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water).
- For extra richness, add a splash of heavy cream at the end.
