Posted on March 9, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple, sweet, and comforting recipe for Crescent Roll Apple Dumplings—perfect for a quick dessert or snack:

Crescent Roll Apple Dumplings

Ingredients (makes 4–6 dumplings)

  • 4 small apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 can (8 oz / 225 g) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Optional: vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven:
    • 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish (8×8 inches works well).
  2. Prepare the apples:
    • Core the apples, leaving the bottom intact.
    • Mix sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl.
  3. Wrap the apples:
    • Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
    • Place 1 apple on the wide end of each triangle.
    • Sprinkle sugar-cinnamon mixture inside the hollow of the apple.
    • Add a small piece of butter on top.
    • Wrap the dough around the apple, pinching seams to seal.
  4. Bake with syrup:
    • Place wrapped apples in the greased baking dish.
    • Pour water into the dish around the dumplings (not over the top).
    • Bake 35–40 minutes until dough is golden and apples are tender.
  5. Serve:
    • Spoon some of the pan juices over the dumplings.
    • Optional: Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

💡 Tips for Best Apple Dumplings:

  • Use firm apples so they hold shape while baking.
  • For extra sweetness, drizzle a little honey or caramel over the top before baking.
  • You can also add raisins or chopped nuts inside the apple for more texture.

If you want, I can give a “mini muffin tin version” of these crescent roll apple dumplings—bite-sized, perfect for parties, and ready even faster.

Do you want me to show that mini version?
