Here’s a decadent Creamy Garlic Butter Lobster Tails recipe—rich, flavorful, and perfect for a special meal.

Creamy Garlic Butter Lobster Tails

Servings: 2–4

Ingredients

  • 2–4 lobster tails (6–8 oz each)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp paprika (optional, for color)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare lobster tails
    • Thaw if frozen.
    • Using kitchen shears, cut the top shell down the middle, stopping before the tail fin.
    • Gently pull lobster meat upward, resting it on top of the shell.
  2. Preheat oven
    • 425°F (220°C).
  3. Make garlic butter sauce
    • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
    • Add minced garlic and sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
    • Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Bake lobster tails
    • Place lobster tails on a baking sheet.
    • Spoon half of the garlic butter sauce over the lobster meat.
    • Bake 12–15 minutes, until lobster meat is opaque and firm.
  5. Serve
    • Drizzle remaining garlic butter sauce over lobster.
    • Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges.

Pro Tips

  • Check doneness: Lobster is done when meat is opaque and firm, internal temp ~140–145°F (60–63°C).
  • Extra flavor: Add a pinch of cayenne or smoked paprika to the sauce for heat.
  • Broil option: Broil lobster tails 2–3 minutes at the end for a lightly browned top.
  • Side dishes: Serve with rice, pasta, or roasted vegetables.

If you want, I can also provide a pan-seared stovetop version that is quicker and gives a buttery sear on the lobster meat.

Do you want me to do that?
