Here’s a delicious Cream Cheese Stuffed Banana Bread recipe — moist, sweet, and with a rich, creamy surprise in the center. 🍌🧀 Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert!


🍌 Ingredients

For the banana bread:

  • 1 ¾ cups (220 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 ½ cups)
  • ½ cup (120 ml) buttermilk or milk

For the cream cheese filling:

  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  1. Preheat oven:
    • 350 °F (175 °C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Make the cream cheese filling:
    • In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Prepare banana bread batter:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
    • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    • Beat in eggs, one at a time, then add vanilla.
    • Stir in mashed bananas.
    • Alternately fold in flour mixture and buttermilk until just combined.
  4. Assemble:
    • Pour half of the banana bread batter into the loaf pan.
    • Spoon the cream cheese mixture evenly over the top.
    • Cover with remaining banana bread batter. Use a spatula to smooth the top.
  5. Bake:
    • 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the banana layer (not the cream cheese) comes out clean.
    • If the top browns too quickly, cover loosely with foil.
  6. Cool & serve:
    • Let cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
    • Slice to reveal the creamy center.

  • Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and moisture.
  • You can swirl the cream cheese filling into the banana bread for a marbled effect.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
