Here’s a rich, moist Cream Cheese–Filled Banana Bread 🍌🧀 — soft banana bread with a sweet cheesecake-style center. Perfect for breakfast or dessert!

🍌 Cream Cheese–Filled Banana Bread

🛒 Ingredients

For the Banana Bread:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)

For the Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

2️⃣ Make Banana Batter

  1. In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Stir in mashed bananas.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet until just combined (don’t overmix).

3️⃣ Make Cream Cheese Filling

In a separate bowl, beat:

  • Cream cheese
  • Sugar
  • Egg
  • Vanilla
    Until smooth and creamy.

4️⃣ Layer

  1. Pour half the banana batter into the loaf pan.
  2. Spread cream cheese filling evenly over it.
  3. Top with remaining banana batter and gently smooth.

5️⃣ Bake

Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until:

  • A toothpick inserted in the banana portion comes out clean
  • Center is set (cream cheese layer will stay slightly soft)

If top browns too quickly, tent with foil after 40 minutes.

6️⃣ Cool

Let cool in pan for 15–20 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
For clean slices, chill for 1 hour before cutting.

💡 Tips

  • Use very ripe bananas (brown-spotted) for best flavor.
  • Add chocolate chips or chopped walnuts for extra texture.
  • Store in refrigerator (because of cream cheese) for up to 5 days.

If you’d like, I can also give you a swirled version (with a marbled cream cheese effect) or a lower-sugar healthier version.
