Here’s the most popular Copycat Red Lobster recipe — the famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits 🧀🧄🥐

🦞 Copycat Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Ingredients (makes ~10–12 biscuits)

Biscuits

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup cold butter, melted

Garlic Butter Topping

  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried parsley

Instructions

1. Preheat oven

  • Preheat to 220°C / 425°F
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Make the biscuit dough

  1. In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and garlic powder.
  2. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Add milk and melted butter; mix just until combined (don’t overmix).

3. Bake

  • Drop dough by large spoonfuls onto the baking sheet.
  • Bake 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.

4. Garlic butter topping

  1. Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley.
  2. Brush generously over hot biscuits right out of the oven.

5. Serve warm

  • Best eaten fresh, just like at Red Lobster!

  • Use sharp cheddar, not mild.
