Cod fillets in air fryer

Posted on January 1, 2026 by Admin

Here’s an easy, teen-friendly way to make air fryer cod fillets—crispy outside, flaky inside 😄

Simple Air Fryer Cod Fillets

Ingredients

  • Cod fillets (fresh or frozen)
  • 1–2 tsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper
  • Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika, lemon pepper, or Italian seasoning

Instructions (Fresh Cod)

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for ~3 minutes.
  2. Pat cod dry with a paper towel (important so it crisps).
  3. Brush or spray with oil, then season both sides.
  4. Place in basket (don’t overlap).
  5. Air fry 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. Fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork and looks opaque.

Instructions (Frozen Cod)

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place frozen fillets directly in the basket.
  3. Air fry 12–14 minutes, flipping halfway.
  4. Season after the first flip once the surface has thawed.

Optional Quick Variations

  • Crispy breaded: Lightly coat with oil, then sprinkle breadcrumbs or panko before cooking.
  • Lemon cod: Add lemon zest before cooking, squeeze lemon juice after.
  • Parmesan crust: Sprinkle grated parmesan during the last 2 minutes.

What to Serve With

  • Air-fried veggies (broccoli, carrots, zucchini)
  • Rice or potatoes
  • Simple salad

If you want, tell me:

  • fresh or frozen?
  • thick or thin fillets?
  • crispy or light & healthy?

I can adjust the timing or seasoning for you 👍
