🥐 Cinnamon Sugar Croissants with Apples

These are flaky croissants filled with sweet apples and cinnamon sugar, perfect for breakfast or dessert. 🍎✨


🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 package Croissant Dough (store-bought, refrigerated)
  • 2 medium Apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 3 tablespoons Butter, melted
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice (to prevent apple browning)
  • Optional glaze: powdered sugar + milk

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat oven

  • Heat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the apples

  • Toss diced apples with lemon juice (if using).
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon together.

3. Assemble croissants

  • Unroll croissant dough.
  • Place a small amount of apples on the wide end of each triangle.
  • Sprinkle a little cinnamon-sugar over the apples.
  • Roll up the croissant toward the tip, sealing edges gently.

4. Brush with butter

  • Brush each croissant with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle a little extra cinnamon-sugar on top.

5. Bake

  • Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown and flaky.

6. Optional glaze

  • Mix powdered sugar with a splash of milk and drizzle over warm croissants.

🍽️ Serving Tips

  • Serve warm for maximum flakiness and flavor.
  • Pair with Coffee or hot tea.
  • Can also add Chopped Nuts for extra crunch.

✅ Tip:
Make sure the croissant dough is slightly chilled while assembling—it rolls better and bakes into flakier layers.
