Cinnamon roll french toast bites

Posted on December 20, 2025January 11, 2026 by Admin

Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bites are a fun, bite-sized breakfast treat that’s soft, sweet, and perfect for dipping in syrup. Here’s a simple way to make them:

Ingredients (serves 4–6)

  • 1 tube (8–10 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup (120ml) milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional for extra spice)
  • Butter or nonstick spray for cooking
  • Maple syrup, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare cinnamon rolls
    • Unroll or cut cinnamon rolls into bite-sized pieces (about 1–2 inches).
    • Reserve icing for drizzling later.
  2. Make egg mixture
    • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  3. Dip the bites
    • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or nonstick spray.
    • Dip cinnamon roll pieces into the egg mixture, coating all sides.
  4. Cook
    • Place bites on the skillet and cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
    • Remove from heat and keep warm.
  5. Serve
    • Drizzle with reserved icing and serve with maple syrup for dipping.

💡 Tips for perfect bites

  • Don’t overcrowd the skillet; cook in batches if needed.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle powdered sugar or a dash of cinnamon on top.
  • You can also bake them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 12–15 minutes if you prefer less stovetop work.

I can also give a “oven-baked casserole version” where all the cinnamon roll bites are baked together like a pull-apart French toast—super easy for feeding a crowd. Do you want that version?
