Here’s a classic, soft-and-chewy chocolate chip cookies recipe that turns out perfect every time 🍪

🍪 Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

🧾 Ingredients (Makes ~24 cookies)

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Optional: 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven

Preheat to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

3️⃣ Cream Butter & Sugars

In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (2–3 minutes).

4️⃣ Add Eggs & Vanilla

Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla.

5️⃣ Combine

Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips (and nuts if using).

6️⃣ Scoop & Bake

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
Bake 8–11 minutes until edges are golden but centers are still soft.

7️⃣ Cool

Let cool on baking sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

💡 Tips for Perfect Cookies

✔ For thicker cookies, chill dough 30–60 minutes before baking.
✔ Slightly underbake for soft centers.
✔ Add a sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top before baking for a bakery-style finish.
✔ Store in an airtight container up to 5 days.

If you’d like, I can give you:

  • A chewy bakery-style version
  • A crispy thin cookie version
  • Or a small-batch recipe (6–8 cookies) 🍫
