Here’s a quick and flavorful Chicken and Broccoli Stir-Fry—tender chicken, crisp broccoli, and a savory sauce. Perfect for weeknight dinners 🥦🍗


Chicken and Broccoli Stir-Fry

Servings: 2–3

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced (optional)
  • 2–3 tbsp vegetable or sesame oil

For the sauce

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water or chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Prep sauce
    • In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
  2. Cook chicken
    • Heat 1–2 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
    • Add chicken and stir-fry 5–6 minutes until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook broccoli
    • Add remaining oil to the pan.
    • Stir-fry broccoli 3–4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
    • Add garlic (and ginger if using) and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Combine
    • Return chicken to the pan.
    • Pour sauce over chicken and broccoli.
    • Stir well and cook 1–2 minutes until sauce thickens and coats everything.
  5. Serve
    • Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
    • Optional: sprinkle with sesame seeds or sliced green onions.

Tips & Variations

  • Slice chicken thinly for faster cooking.
  • Swap broccoli for mixed vegetables like bell peppers, snow peas, or carrots.
  • For extra heat, add chili flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
