Cheesy crescent taco bake

Posted on November 20, 2025 by Admin

A cheesy crescent taco bake sounds like a delicious and easy meal! Here’s a simple recipe you can follow to make it:

Cheesy Crescent Taco Bake

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey, if you prefer)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup salsa (your choice of mild or spicy)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend cheese)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for topping)
  • Chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)
  • Lettuce and diced tomatoes (optional, for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the crescent rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough and place it in the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Press the seams together to form a solid crust at the bottom. This will be your base for the taco bake.
  3. Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Add taco seasoning: Stir in the taco seasoning and water as per the packet instructions. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes to thicken.
  5. Assemble the taco bake: Spread the seasoned beef mixture evenly over the crescent roll dough in the baking dish. Then pour salsa on top of the beef, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Top with cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend) evenly over the top.
  7. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  8. Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Serve with a dollop of sour cream, chopped green onions, lettuce, and tomatoes, if desired.

Enjoy your cheesy crescent taco bake! It’s a great weeknight meal that’s quick, cheesy, and satisfying. Let me know if you need any more variations or ideas!
