Cheesy Carrot Flatbreads

Posted on March 5, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a tasty and easy recipe for Cheesy Carrot Flatbreads — soft, flavorful, and perfect as a snack, side, or appetizer.

🥕 Cheesy Carrot Flatbreads

Servings: 4–6
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15–20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated carrot (about 2 medium carrots)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or whole wheat for a healthier option)
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • 2 tbsp plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (plus extra for cooking)
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: herbs/spices like cumin, paprika, or parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough
    • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Add grated carrot, shredded cheese, yogurt, and olive oil.
    • Mix to form a soft dough. If too dry, add 1–2 tsp water; if too sticky, add a little more flour.
  2. Divide and roll
    • Divide dough into 4–6 portions.
    • Roll each portion into a thin circle or oval on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Cook the flatbreads
    • Heat a non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat.
    • Lightly brush with oil.
    • Cook each flatbread 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Serve
    • Serve warm with dips, yogurt, chutney, or salad.
    • Optional: Sprinkle extra cheese or herbs on top while hot.

Tips

  • For extra flavor, add garlic, onion powder, or grated ginger to the dough.
  • Flatbreads can also be baked at 400°F / 200°C for 10–12 minutes if you prefer oven-cooked.
  • Use carrot purée instead of grated carrot for a softer, chewier texture.

If you want, I can make a step-by-step visual guide showing how to assemble and cook these cheesy carrot flatbreads, which makes it very easy to follow.
