Posted on October 25, 2025 by Admin
Ah, Cheeseburger Pie — basically all the flavors of a classic cheeseburger packed into a cozy, baked pie form. 🍔🧀 Perfect for dinner or a fun weeknight meal! Here’s a full recipe:

🥧 Cheeseburger Pie

Ingredients (Serves 6–8)

For the crust

  • 1 ½ cups (190 g) all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ cup (115 g) cold unsalted butter, cubed

  • 3–4 tbsp cold water

(Optional: Use a pre-made pie crust to save time)

For the filling

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)

  • 1 cup (120 g) shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup (120 ml) ketchup (or tomato sauce)

  • ¼ cup (60 ml) milk

  • 1 egg

Optional toppings

  • Pickles, diced tomatoes, or shredded lettuce (added after baking)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the crust

  1. Combine flour and salt in a bowl.

  2. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  3. Add cold water 1 tbsp at a time until dough forms.

  4. Roll out dough to fit a 9-inch pie pan and press into pan. Set aside.

2. Cook the beef filling

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned.

  2. Drain excess fat.

  3. Stir in salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

3. Mix the custard

  • In a small bowl, whisk together egg and milk.

4. Assemble the pie

  1. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the pie crust.

  2. Drizzle ketchup over the beef.

  3. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.

  4. Pour the egg-milk mixture over the filling.

5. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the custard is set.

  • Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.

💡 Tips & Variations

  • Extra cheesy: Use a mix of cheddar and mozzarella for gooeyness.

  • Spicy twist: Add ½ tsp chili powder or diced jalapeños to the beef.

  • Make ahead: Assemble the pie and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.

If you want, I can also give a super quick 15-minute version using a biscuit topping instead of pie crust — even faster and just as tasty.

Do you want that version?
