Caramel Apple Cinnamon Roll Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls (icing reserved)
  • 3 cups apple pie filling (canned or homemade)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • ½ cup caramel sauce (plus more for drizzling)
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Prep
    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare cinnamon rolls
    Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters.
    Toss pieces with melted butter and brown sugar.
  3. Layer
    • Spread half of the cinnamon roll pieces in the dish.
    • Spoon half of the apple pie filling over top.
    • Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, nuts (if using), and drizzle with caramel sauce.
    • Repeat layers.
  4. Bake
    Cover loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
    Remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
  5. Finish
    Warm reserved icing and drizzle over the top along with extra caramel sauce.
  6. Serve
    Let cool 10 minutes before serving.

Optional Add-Ons

  • Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
  • Add cream cheese dollops between layers for extra richness
  • Use crescent dough instead of cinnamon rolls for a less sweet version
